So K8 is very worried that people won't come to our wedding. I know it's a weird thing for *ME* to be making sure someone else doesn't worry about that sort of thing ... but just a heads up. Please be sure you come, if you said you'd come.

That said, we've already had several cancellations (mostly family) due to heart surgeries. So things don't look good. So, again, please, please, please come to our wedding.

And for those that attend ... I've burned about 100 mixed CDs for everyone. I think it's a very good wedding mix. So there's also that.

I'm supposed to put together a slideshow of photographs of me for the wedding rehearsal. I've got all these old pictures of me scanned ... but going through my computer hard drive, I find almost NO pictures of me & friends in Kalamazoo. Why? Um. Because all the pictures I took ... are pictures I took.

Does anyone have a picture or two of me & you (or me & other mutual friends) in Kalamazoo?

OMG! I love my new Brother labelmaker. Wow. Just thought I'd share that.

Classes at Dickinson start on Monday. Saturday is the welcome back picnic for the Dickinson Club (the faculty club that meets on Fridays for cocktail hour, I've a free membership my first year). Sunday is Convocation, and I have to parade across w/ the other new faculty in my robes (sadly, only MA robes, not the cooler doctoral robes). It's jam-packed of events, this little campus is.

Holy crap, it's been a long time since I've updated. I'll eventually get back to my "real" blog again, but for now this'll have to do.

Let's see ... I'm settled into my office ... Annie's getting over her kidney infection ... the town is quite lovely ... my coworkers are (so far) wonderful ... classes start on Monday (the closer it gets, the less prepared I feel) ... and that's pretty much about it. Oh, yeah, the wedding plans are still marching on.

How is everyone? I'll try to schedule time to catch up w/ all my friends as soon as I catch my breath.

It woudl be June 5-10 (Mon-Sat). I'm going to visit Kate in Chicago, and also move some things to her apartment before the big move 10 days after I get back into town.

Also, I owe Kim Gold & Alison Pushie a nice dinner out someplace for all the cat sitting you've done over the past year. So let's get together on a date/time. I suggest Food Dance (since I love that place). Alison, you can certainly bring Dave (I think I also owe you guys an engagement dinner).

i'm going out to kraftbrau this sunday night. i don't think there's a show, so it's just to go, hang out, etc. i think we're heading out there around 7/8 ish. so plan on 8 and meet us there.

also ... i'm moving away from lovely kalamazoo at the start of june (soon after the moped army bbq).
